Renewed Community

The renewed life is not meant to be lived alone. Even in creation, God recognized that it was not good for man to be alone and He created the basis of a life lived in community emblematic of the nature of God Himself. Through sin, these relationships have been hindered and affected by the fall; however, through the cross of Jesus, renewed relationships are once again possible regardless of cultural, social, ethnic, or political differences. This Christ-centered community is the calling card of the church before the world as men and women partner together for the sake of accomplishing God’s mission in the world. It is through the mission of the church that true community is forged as people pursue the Lord together, fight for one another’s holiness, flee from sin, guard one another from the deceptiveness of sin, actively care for one another, and consider how to stir one another to love and good deeds.
