Why Renewal? Central to the narrative of Scripture is the idea that God, through Jesus, is seeking to restore and renew that which is broken and distorted by sin.  While mankind was created to love and worship God with their very lives, the choice to disobey God led to a world wrecked by the implications of sin and in desperate need of a renewed relationship with God, both on an individual and corporate basis.  The bad news of the gospel is that we are more wicked than we like to admit.  The good news is that we are more loved than we can imagine and that through faith in and obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ this renewed relationship with God is possible and man can rightly enjoy his created design as loving worshippers of God.  The Gospel is not simply the starting point for the Christian life, but is the key to living the renewed life that God intended for us to live.  In so doing, we hope to rediscover and apply the gospel so that God’s power is fully released through the church.
